The Egypt tour package from Cairo to Abu Simbel is a full-fledged program with all the possible historical explorations of Cairo and Giza, Luxor and Aswan, and the Nile cruise to the temples of Abu Simbel at the end. This is an 8 Days Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria Classic Package, part of our Egypt Trips Packages, where both surface and rail transport are executed. The excursion begins in the city of Cairo, where art lovers undertake the ever-so-famous last standing of the seven ancient world wonders, the Pyramids of Giza. After this, travelers will take the Sleeper train inland for an overnight trip across the endless expanse that lies to the south. The program also provides for a number of days for the temples and ancient cities of Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel, before obligingly bringing the participants back to Cairo for a visit to its renowned Islamic and Coptic sites.

As soon as you get off the plane at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by a Next Holiday Travel tour guide who will help you finish all the formalities. After this, Easy Hotel transport will then be arranged for you to facilitate your smooth travel to the hotel. At the hotel, your tour guide will help you check in and will also take care of all your budget reservations making sure that all the tour pick-up times have been confirmed. Once checked in at the hotel, your tour guide will help you with hotel check-in and will go through the cheaper version of your vacation, outlining every tour's pick-up time.

Overnight in Cairo.

A welcome drink is provided

Start with having your breakfast in the hotel in Cairo and check out. Then you will be accompanied by your professional guide who will take you to the Giza Plateau. In this context, you will proceed to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, one of the seven modern wonders of the world, the Great Sphinx, and Valley Temple. The next destination will be the Egyptian Museum where the amazing collections of genuine artifacts and riches of ancient Egypt will be appreciated. Later especially if time permits Khan El Khalili the oldest bazaar in Cairo will be visited. Then you will be taken to the lovely Giza railway station where you will board the sleeper train to Luxor, where you will have dinner served onboard later.

When you reach the train station at Luxor, one of the representatives of Next Holiday Travel will be at the venue to assist you as you head off for your tour of Luxor. Get ready to go to some of the most interesting tombs on the West Bank of the Nile in the Valley of the Kings. The tour guide will also take you to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the woman pharaoh who changed the course of Egypt’s history, and view the gigantic Colossi of Memnon. Afterward, you will also explore the breathtaking Luxor Temple, which is known as the biggest open museum across the globe and also the second most visited historical site in Egypt. Your trip will then take you to the magnificent Karnak Temple complex before going back to your hotel.

Stay in Luxor overnight.

Visits made: Valley of the Kings, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, the temple of Luxor, Karnak Temple.

Following breakfast, foreigners visit some ancient monuments; and begin your excursion with a coffee in a comfortable, well-equipped air-conditioned, Wi-Fi-contained vehicle. This trip will take close to Three And A Half Hours. A Next Holiday Travel representative will be waiting for you after the flight docks and will guide you to your hotel where you will check in. You will proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk that is found in the granite quarries and after that go on to the lovely Temple of Philae located on Isis Island which is devoted to both the goddesses Isis and Hathor. After a brief period of your explorations, you will go back to the hotel.
Overnight in Aswan.

Visits: Unfinished Obelisk, Philae Temple.

Your day will begin early as you will be given a breakfast box at 4:30 am. From there, you will go with the rest of the group on an excursion to the Abu Simbel Temples which are about three and a half hours drive away. Once there, see those stunning temples of Ramses II and his beloved queen Nefertari. These temples, very close to the border with Sudan are famous not only for their beautiful construction but also for the quite recent history due to the fact, that the temples were completely moved in the year 1968 due to the threats of being submerged under Lake Nasser. After the temple visit, you will head back to Aswan and take an overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

Enjoy breakfast on the train before you reach the Giza train station, where a representative from Next Holiday Travel will assist you during the check-in process at the Cairo hotel. You are free for the remaining part of the day or you may take an optional excursion to the Sakkara Step Pyramid for King Zoser and to Memphis.

The day is at leisure in Cairo or an easy day trip to the lovely northern city of Alexandria. Here you can enter the famous Castle of Qaitbay, which is located on the site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria built by the great Sultan in the 15th century. Then proceed to the famous Library of Alexandria, which attracts visitors for its contemporary design and extensive collection. Furthermore, you will also get to visit the Catacombs, a deep underground Roman cemetery carved out of solid rock. When your tour is done, you will come back to Cairo.

Overnight in Cairo.

Meals: Breakfast.

Visits: Leisure day in Cairo, Optional excursion to Alexandria (Sites in Alexandria: Castle Qaitbay, Library of Alexandria, Catacombs).

Breakfast will be ready at your accommodation followed by a transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight.

Notas

Keep in mind the classification of trains provided and operated by the Egyptian Railways (referred to as ERS includes sleeper trains as well). The duration of the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan is roughly 14 hours while the Aswan to Luxor train takes about 11 hours. Alternatively, for people who prefer to cut down on the travel time to the most practicable limit, it is possible to upgrade to an internal flight for roughly $295 per person, with the flight time reduced to approximately 1.5 hours.
