Overnight Athens: 4 stars.

The visit goes through the heart of Athens, starting from the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. It would traverse some of the most famous sights, such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament Building, Memorial for the Unknown Soldier, Academy, University, National Library, and Constitution Square (Syntagma). Setting out early in the morning, you will cross over the Corinth Canal, from which you will continue to the renowned Mycenae, named a UNESCO World Heritage site. The legendary home of Agamemnon with its imposing Cyclopean walls, the famous Lions Gate, and the royal tombs will be explored; Nafplion, which is in Argolis, was the first capital of Greece. The charming little town nestled at the foot of a cliff dominated by the mighty Palamidi Fortress would allow for a short exploration. The journey continues to the ancient theater of Epidaurus, which is especially famous for its extraordinary acoustics. In closing, you will visit Olympia and round off your expedition.

Olympia is famous as the home of the Olympic Games. The archaeological site will introduce you to the Temple of Zeus and Temple of Hera, the Altar of the Olympic Flame, the Stadium, and the museum containing the magnificent Hermes of Praxiteles statue. Then, traveling north, you will cross the Rio-Antirio Bridge on your journey to Delphi.
