These temples, very close to the border with Sudan are famous not only for their beautiful construction but also for the quite recent history due to the fact, that the temples were completely moved in the year 1968 due to the threats of being submerged under Lake Nasser. After the temple visit, you will head back to Aswan and take an overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

Then proceed to the famous Library of Alexandria, which attracts visitors for its contemporary design and extensive collection. Furthermore, you will also get to visit the Catacombs, a deep underground Roman cemetery carved out of solid rock. When your tour is done, you will come back to Cairo.
